Block paving relies on jointing sand to help hold the blocks in place and reduce weed growth. Pressure washing can remove old contaminated sand from the joints, which is why re-sanding is often recommended afterwards.
Re-sanding improves the finished appearance, helps stabilise the surface and gives the driveway a cleaner, sharper look.
For best results, block paving should be allowed to dry before kiln-dried sand is brushed into the joints.
